Professional cleaning

We know that you brush your teeth every day, but only a dentist or a hygienist can remove the buildup of calcium or tartar, which causes teeth decay and gum disease. We recommend having a professional cleaning of your teeth, which is also referred to as scaling and polishing twice a year. Our professional team will educate you and your family with the correct brushing techniques and what other factors that you can follow to improve your oral hygiene.

Professional tooth sealants

Tooth sealant is a flowable resin material that is applied to the chewing surface of the back teeth to protect the enamel of the tooth from plaque and bacteria which attacks the tooth and causes a cavity. Both children and adults can benefit from the tooth sealants. Children and teenagers, make perfect candidates for this treatment as it protects the pits and fissures of their back teeth from early cavities.

Tooth colored fillings

Tooth-colored composite resin or white fillings or composite fillings are the same thing. Tooth-colored fillings are made from composite resin, similar in color and texture to natural teeth. The fillings are less noticeable, and much more attractive, than other types of dental fillings. Composite resin is an excellent alternative for small and mid-size cavities. Hence, you can smile and talk with confidence.

Composite and porcelain inlays and onlays

Indirect composite or porcelain inlays and onlays are the best alternative for large cavities of the back teeth, as they are strong and durable. These restorations are fabricated outside the mouth in a laboratory or with the help of modern CAD/CAM machines and are bonded into the prepared cavity of the back teeth. The strength of these materials is similar to the enamel of the tooth and can resist the chewing pressure of the back teeth area of the mouth.

Root Canal Treatment (Endodontic)

Endodontic treatment is necessary when the pulp, the soft tissue inside the root canal, becomes inflamed or infected. The inflammation or infection can have a variety of causes, such as, deep decay, repeated dental procedures on the tooth, or a crack or chip in the tooth. In addition, an injury to a tooth may cause pulp damage even if the tooth has no visible chips or cracks. If the pulp is inflamed or infected and it is left untreated, it can cause pain or lead to an abscess.

Crowns and bridges

A crown is a fully covered restoration for broken or weakened teeth with large defects. It is fabricated either from esthetic glass, ceramic or zirconium oxide material by a laboratory technician or more recently by a CAD/CAM machine, which is replacing metal crowns, at a rapid pace.
A fixed bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth. The tooth on each end of the space is used to hold the bridge (abutments). Bridges are not removable by the patient. As with other types of crowns, a bridge can be made of metal or porcelain, or a combination of these two. Bridges are becoming the most preferred option as it uses a zirconium oxide base as opposed to the metal base.

After preparing the teeth for a crown or a bridge an impression of the teeth is taken. With the help of the impression the dental technician can prepare a model, which is used to fabricate the crown or the bridge. The fabrication procedure takes usually one week. During this time a temporary plastic crown or bridge is used to protect the prepared teeth. If the crown or the bridge fits perfectly, it is cemented to the tooth or teeth.
A crown or a bridge needs to be taken care of in the same way you would take care for your natural teeth. Regular brushing and flossing is essential to keep the restoration clean. In case of a bridge, flossing in between the teeth is not possible as the teeth are attached. A special kind of dental floss (super floss) is recommended, so that the areas under the bridge can be cleaned.
